Pigeon Forge, Tennessee: Fiddlers' Feast Dinner Show

Dinner Show

Fiddlers Feast Dinner Theatre is located at 2385 Parkway in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. This was my first visit to the dinner show since it only opened recently. I believe it opened in the summer of 2006. This is a fairly new show to the Pigeon Forge area.

The parking lot is very large and there was no problem with parking at all. We also had no problems getting tickets for whatever show we wanted. Most days they offer two shows. There is one that starts at five and one at eight. The entry to the show is very large with wood bench seats. The gift show is very small and there is not very much in it but they are new so hopefully it will improve.

When they open the doors you go into another small room, where you stand in front of a cabin picture. Here is where they take a family picture of your group. There is also a separate picture took of any kids in your group. I was not happy with the family picture but the one taken of my daughter was very good. They put there pictures in a cardboard frame and offer them to you later for a price. There was two 8 X 10 of the family and two 8 X 10 of my daughter. I bought both pictures and I believe it cost me thirty dollars. My daughter took her picture and frame and got all the cast members to sign it at the end of the show.

From here we went into an even larger room that sloped downward. It was only a slight down slope. In this room there was rows of tables than ran from the top of the room to the bottom just before the stage. These were long tables and not individual. You sat side by side all together even though you were not together. The chairs were not comfortable at all. The show was hard to see because you had to look over the person sitting on the side of you. The slight slant to the room did not help the stiff neck I had after the show. I am short and had problems seeing all the show with this kind of seating.

The meal was the next thing to happen. Our host welcomed us to the show and explained how everything was going to work. We would get up row by row and line up. Then we would go into the kitchen and get our food. The plates that we were getting our food put on was mettle this means it would get hot. I had to hold it very close to the ends to keep from getting burned. You moved through the kitchen to each station picking up your food. The first thin put on your plate was a piece of steak, chicken, beans, coleslaw, and potato's. Now your plate is very hot. The next thing you pick up is a bowl with your desert in it. I put mine on top of my hot food because I had no where else to put it. My fingers were already burning a little. Then the last stop was to get out drinks. We could get lemonade, ice tea, coffee, or water nothing else. There was no way I could carry it and I don't know about you, but I am not going to eat dinner with nothing to drink. The girl found another girl to carry my drink out. I could not believe I paid over $100.00 for the family to eat like this. My daughter did not even get the dessert because she could not carry it. The dessert was a biscuit covered with strawberries and whip cream. She really was not missing anything. The food was not all that hot and the taste was not all the great either. My daughter ate all the strawberries off my biscuit and a few bites of the chicken and steak. She did not like the beans or coleslaw. My husband is the only one who ate the food really. We think that is because he was in the military and most of them can eat anything no matter how bad the food is.

After the meal the staff came around and cleaned up the dishes as we finished our meals. However, when the show started there was no lights and the tables were not fully cleaned off.

The show was great though. There was a great comedy skit. There were also great country music, patriotic, old time rock and roll and gospel. We all totally enjoyed the music. When the show was over all the cast gathered outside the hall to sign pictures and met patrons. They were all friendly and nice.

The food at dinner shows are never that great, but it's good to know that the show was good!

Great review. I visited Pigeon Forge when I was 9 years old. My family and I recognized Archie Campbell from Hee Haw in a local restuarant, and he signed a dollar bill for me. I still have it. These days I avoid the tourist attractions and visit places off the beaten path. I gave you five stars!
