Pimp Out Your Car with These Nice Christmas Gift Ideas

Aaron Tadeo
If you've got a relative or a friend who really loves cars, or even if they just own a car, it is really nice to give them gifts in time for the Christmas season. There are quite a lot of things that you can buy for them and their car and they don't even have to be that expensive. Let me share some of my ideas on what you could give as a gift for your car-loving friends and family. And of course, you can even buy them as a gift for yourself.

One thing that relaxes a driver and his/her passengers is music. Why not buy a car audio system as a gift for your friend? Upgrade the car's audio by buying a state-of-the-art stereo system, really good speakers or a fairly powerful amplifier. I remember a few years ago when a friend gave me a gift. I was surprised that it was a 12-inch woofer. I installed it immediately and my audio experience with my car never felt better.

You can also buy car video theater systems. There are quite a lot of car video players out there that can play different types of media such as DVDs, multimedia files or even blu-ray discs. Try to buy one with lots of connectivity options such as optical discs, memory cards and USB. And of course, add an LCD screen or a couple of them. A nice 6 or 8-inch screen will do. Your passengers will have something to kill time especially on really long drives.

If your friend is really into the looks of his/her car, why not give him/her new rims or tires? Rims are one of the most noticeable aesthetic aspects of the cars. It's really one of those things that can make your car look really cool especially if you have big rims and new tires. Choose a bigger one or a better design for your friend's car. Or, you can buy sports or performance tires especially if he/she is into racing. The one you see in the picture are the rims that I bought for my own car about a week ago. I had to buy a new set of rims because the old one was destroyed from an accident. I also had to buy a brand new set of tires since I went from 13" to 15" rims and the old ones do not fit anymore.

You can also take your friend's car for a paint job. If you want to have a new look for your car, this is probably the best way to do it. Change the color to something more attractive and include some cool designs while you're at it. It takes time to complete but the achievement of having a whole new look is very satisfying.

Do you know someone who is a car performance enthusiast? Performance parts may be good gifts for that person. There are quite a lot of aftermarket performance parts to choose from. There are really cheap parts such as sports air filters, mufflers, headers and so on. Or, if you have a big budget, buy some really powerful upgrades such as racing computer chips or turbo add-ons.

Lastly, you can always buy car accessories as presents. There are lots to choose from and most of them are quite practical. You can buy toolboxes, window accessories, cleaning kits, upholstery, car body add-ons such as chins and skirts or something simple that will make the travel much more comfortable like a set of pillows.

It's really not that important how expensive the gift is. It's the spirit of the season and remembering the people who are important to us is what matters. To some of us, the car represents us when we go for a drive and making it look better and more comfortable to drive is a very satisfying accomplishment.
