A Special Place on the Beach

Vic Burrack
There is a place in Pinellas County to see simultaneous multiple fireworks shows for the 4th of July. During the early evening hours of the 4th of July, a secret and free place for relaxing and watching multiple fireworks shows can be yours. While most of the county is driving around or stuck in traffic looking for a place to watch one fireworks show, you will be happily sitting on your beach blanket relaxing and waiting for the multiple fireworks shows to entertain you.

For a day at the beach and a night of magnificent fireworks, read on. The best viewing for multiple 4th of July fireworks celebration viewing in Pinellas County, Florida is on Treasure Island on the beach around 107 Ave. and up to 130th on Treasure Island. This long strip of open beach will give you the best position to see all three close-by island cities fireworks shows; Madeira Beach, Treasure Island and St. Petersburg Beach and perhaps view two other cities celebrations in our county. With each city out to please its residents and compete with their neighboring towns you can see why the fireworks are spectacular and last extra long.

The view of this multi show fireworks spectacle is hard to describe. Think of any fireworks show you have attended and multiply that over a few times. The sky is filled; to the left beautiful blue and golden chrysanthemum blossoms of light fill up the dark night sky and to the right red and gold curly fish streamers spin and float to the ground. Before you can look down to sip your diet cola another round of colorful fireworks is bursting in for your entertainment. The cities overlap their fireworks shows to please the residents of our county so the multiple shows seen from this beach area are extraordinary.

So go early, remember to take a blanket or chair for your comfort, find a good place out on the beach sand to put down that blanket, take a swim, play, relax and wait for dusk and a collection of grand 4th of July fireworks shows.

See you there.
