The Wedge Design
Always a popular choice, the Wedge design looks like an elongated triangle. Designed for speed, the Wedge can also look great with a creative paint job and a few minor alterations.

A bit more complicated than the basic wedge, these Pinewood Derby car pictures still feature cars that require minimal saw work.

Open Cockpit Car Designs
The old Pinewood Derby rules required cars to have a cockpit area. Fortunately the BSA has eliminated that rule, allowing for more design ideas. However, sometimes you can't beat those old open cockpit car designs.
These racers require a bit more cutting and sanding, but should be easy enough to build with basic tools.
