Pink: Best Concert of 2007 Featured Stunts, Motorbikes, Dancers and More

Alecia Beth Moore, aka Pink, was born on September 8, 1979 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and has become one of the most popular and controversial singer-songwriters. She made it big in 2000 with her first album, Can't Take Me Home. She is a double Grammy Award winner and has over 20 tattoos, creative Pink, boy-length hair and a passion for music and her fans. No wonder she is the mega-star she is today.

Pink is always brutally honest, provocative, very talented and a mega global superstar with the reputation to prove it!

This album was followed by Missundastood in 2001 and was her biggest seller to date, selling over 16 millions copies worldwide. This album was based on her childhood memories of abuse and sadness. Pink would always write in her journals which she still has to today from when she was six. One of her best songs of all time was 'family portrait' based on real life entries in her journal.

In 2003, she released her third album, Try This, which unfortunately couldn't match the worldwide success of her previously released album although was still widely popular amongst Pink fans!

She took a break before releasing one of her best comeback songs 'Stupid Girls' before releasing her successful fourth album in 2007 and not only was this song controversial but was a funny song about bimbo's and their poodles. The performance of this song at Pinks first 2007 Australian concerts was very interesting and highly impressed viewers.

After a long awaited seven years and dozens of hits, Pink announced her first ever Australian 'I'm not dead tour' which was to kick off in Perth on April 18th with supporting act 'The Androids' which toured with her all over Australia.

Pink's first Melbourne concert went on sale early 2007 and was sold out in a matter of minutes. This was followed by the release of her 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th concert which I was lucky enough to attend after such a long wait. I knew this would be the concert of all concerts; after all I had waited for 7 years! Pink sold out 37 shows Australia wide, this is by far the record, the highest amount of shows performed by any artist on one tour ever.

I attended Pink's "I'm Not Dead Tour" at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia, on Wednesday, May 16, with my two sisters, and it was the best night of our lives. Pink's Australian tour ran for approximately 133 minutes and consisted of over 18 performances including the controversial 'Dear Mr. President' which was heartfelt and caused tears in our eyes.

This concert was by far the greatest concert of 2007 let alone in my 21 years of life. I think it was full of anticipation, excitement, crazy stunts and highlight performances with the ever so talented Pink always keeping us on edge, hungry for more; this was a show I would never forget.

Pink rode a motorbike, danced amongst other girls, suspended herself upside down while still singing and broke all the entertainment barriers with her dazzling performances that took our breath away. Whether it was the scantily clad dancers, sexy ensembles or perfect singing...Pink was doing everything right.

The fact that Pink had never performed in Australia before made this concert so much more anticipated, with higher expectations and Pink never failed to deliver. With thousands of people cheering, many dancing in the seats and hundreds trying to sing along (many who were off key), it was a night nobody wanted to be over.

I was lucky enough to see Beyonce Knowles, Backstreet Boys, Boys II Men, The Veronicas, Evermore and many others in concert this year but nothing compared to the excitement, anticipation, entertainment and absolute mind blowing concert that was the 'I'm not dead tour' by Pink in May 2007.

I mean although these concerts were very entertaining, nobody suspended themselves upside down without a harness while still singing, nobody rode a motorbike on stage in the arena and nobody performed over 37 shows in Australia alone breaking the records, NOBODY except PINK!
