Pink and Carey Divorce

Alecia Moore, or Pink, as she is more commonly known, has rocked the world again, but this time it's her personal life drawing the attention of the crowds, not the ever amazing creativity and style of her pop music.

She and her husband, Carey Hart separated on Wednesday, February 20th after only two years together due to the constant stress of their hectic lifestyles. They tried to keep things romantic by text messaging, calling each other daily and even going camping and slipping into random hotels to liven things up, but with the intense travel, constant practice and sleepless nights of Pink's musical fame and Carey's worldwide motorcycle races, their romance fell to pieces.

The couple met at the 2001 X Games in Las Vegas and were an on again off-again couple prior to their engagement, splitting up when Pink began to promote her album, Try This, but rejoining together in 2002 for a scene in Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle.

Pink proposed to Hart in June of 2005 while cheering him on at the sidelines of a motocross race in Mammoth Lakes, California. As he raced by, she held up a sign that read, "Will you marry me?" almost causing him to have an accident. Luckily, he survived and they married on January 7, 2006 in Costa Rica in a non-denominational ceremony. Among the 100 guests was Lisa Marie Presley.

When interviewed by MTV News, Pink laughingly said, "I proposed, and he said yes, because he's smart." Pink initially described their relationship as domestic bliss, joking that they didn't go out on the town and party with the rest of the music crowd. She said they were kind of boring and kind of wild, but in truth, the only people they wanted to see was each other. "We're normal. We make it a Blockbuster night."

Whispers of problems came up last August when Hart was accused of hooking up with an unidentified blonde while Pink was away on tour. Paparazzi put these worries to rest in October as pics of Pink and her husband at a California karaoke bar hit the market. Before their separation was announced, Hart was photographed with an unidentified brunette at the Tabú Ultra Lounge in Las Vegas over the holiday weekend.

When asked about the separation, Michele Schweitzer, Pink's representative, said that Pink's "decision was made by best friends with a huge amount of love and respect for one another. While the marriage is over, their friendship has never been stronger."

Us had reported their marriage to be on the rocks from 2005, overhearing the singer at Hollywood hotspot Eleven say, "we're just not getting along anymore. We each need our space." When questioned, her representative denied all problems.
