Thinking of redoing a room in your home but have absolutely no idea where to start? Think about beginning with a fresh, new coat of paint added to the walls. Choose a color that will open up the room and add class, character and a unique sense of you. Want a soft color that will give your room an all over glow and be easily accented with interesting pieces? Then consider pink; pink is great to give your room a glow that lightens up your walls as well as your mood. And you can find many diverse shades of pink that are perfect as a focal point of the room or to add as an accent.

You might want to consider a shade called Rosy Flush as the focal point of your room, this earthy pink shade warms up to organic colors like greens, and just about any shade of brown or khaki. Using this color as the focal point of a room can make you feel comfortable and cool. Of course with this color you'll want to add a darker color to accent the room or maybe to add character to a built in shelf. Consider a color called Rich Rouge, which can define a special nook or shelf in your room to add depth.

If black is your accent color and you want to go with a focal point a bit lighter, then a shade of pink called Smooth Shimmer may be perfect for you. With this shade; those subtle shades of black can turn any room in your home into something extraordinary, and paired with ebony furniture it can provide a striking contrast of colors.
A wonderful color for your dining room when sticking to the pink shades, would be Pale Shadow. You can use this striking pink on dining room walls and pair with grey accent pieces to keep the overall look light and airy.
If you want to feel comfortable with your new pink shades of decorating style you first have to realize that pink isn't just for girls anymore.

Pinks are a wonderful color because they fit in well as a focal color or as an accent color. They also go with many different colors, and look especially good with Aqua Blue's. Shades of pink also pair well with chocolate browns and greens. Many neutral colors have very strong pink undertones, that means that an accent rug or even a piece of furniture in a bold, bright shade will go nicely in a room that is painted in just about any shade of pink. Pinks are neutral colors which go with anything. A blush shade of pink is also excellent for the dining room and looks beautiful when paired with gold or crystal accent serving pieces. Pink is in with decorators today so for that beautiful, one of a kind look choose pink as your color scheme and turn an ordinary room into something extraordinary.
