Pinnacle is about $18 for a 1.75 liter bottle, which is a relatively cheap price for a vodka. Comparably Smirnoff is about $14 for .75 liters, Grey Goose is $25 for .75 liters and Skyy, Stoli and Absolut are between these prices. By comparison $18 for 1.75 liters is a steal of a price. I finally brought myself to buy the vodka the other day and I can finally say that I have tried it.
I first tasted Pinnacle Vodka as a shot to taste the vodka itself. The first sip is very smooth. It does not have a harsh flavor right off the bat, like the bite that a lot of vodkas can give. After a few seconds the vodka flavor is strong, but not overpowering. For a vodka taste it is very bearable and it does not burn on the way down. The best part about this vodka, for me, was that there was not much of an aftertaste. After a minute or so the flavor went away, and it did not linger for too long.
I later tried using this vodka in a mixed drink. The great thing about this vodka is that it nearly disappears in a mixed drink. Some vodkas are very overpowering when you mix them, but Pinnacle has a very soft vodka flavor when it is mixed. It is just enough to taste it, but not enough to dominate the drink.
Pinnacle vodka was also very nice the next morning. I did not have any ill effects from drinking it the night before and I felt fine the next day. I had no headache or sick feelings.
To be honest the only thing that I was disappointed in was the plastic bottle. I usually associate a plastic bottle with the lesser vodka brands like Aristocrat. I delayed in buying the vodka for this exact fact. Pinnacle tastes too good to be reduced to being in plastic, but if it makes it cheaper and easier to import, than I can't complain too much.
Pinnacle vodka, with its French label and smooth taste reminds me of Grey Goose, but for less than half the price. I fully recommend it.
Pros: Smooth, Price ($18 for 1.75 liters), no burn, no hangover
Cons: Too good for plastic bottle

Post a CommentHad it in a martini for the first time recently. Always been a Grey Goose or Kettle One guy. Went out and bought two bottles!!
I agree that Pinnacle lives up to its name. It's now my top choice.
Tried Pinnacle & it made me feel lethargic / headachie. Grey Goose never does. It costs more,....but well worth it!
Wow! Yoy guys knock it out of the park with this Pinnacle Vodka!! Gray goose? Absolute? Those guys are just making rotten potatoe juice. Thanks guys best thing the french have invented since French Fries & really smelly cheese!!!
Wordslueth,
You are so correct! I have been drinking this Vodka for about a year now and I love the taste ,it is a very smooth but yet not overpowering.I have gotten my family off Greygoose and now Pinnacle
i ABSOLUTELY AGREE with the above review...that is almost exactly how i tries it...shot 1st, then mixed it...definitely
our local liquor store did a blind taste test and not one person (this included all employees, customers and local experts)could tell the difference between this and grey goose....a very good vodka definitely on my list as a favorite along with Volta a caffeinated vodka that has a very unique taste
I have seen the light!!! I was a die hard Aristokrap fan. I thought vodka was vodka. I bought this because the clerk at the store convinced me to try it. I am having some now with fruit juice. It is really smoothe and not as strong as the Aristokrap. (Fondly named by my co-workers) I'm sold on this stuff.
It had a negative effect on the woman i was buying it for last night. Back at her flat after 5 straight up she was completely a dead fish.
I recommend stopping at 3.
