Pippa Middleton is a Godmother

The popular kid sister of Kate Middleton is now a godmother. This past weekend, the 27-year-old attended the Christening of the son of her good friend Marie-Sophie, Countess of Montgelas, and her husband, Ari Tatos, inNeuenburg, Switzerland. She also attending the bash afterwards and it was reported by a source close to them that her friend made her godmother of the five-year-old boy.

US Weekly reports on the good news on Tuesday, June 28^th. Pippa attended the event alone and left the church with a female friend in an Audi convertible. Since she became a household name at the royal wedding, Pippa has been showing up all over Europe, seemingly enjoying her single status.

Pippa is not the first celebrity to become a godparent. Steven Spielberg became Drew Barrymore's godfather after he casted her in the famous movie, "E.T." Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck asked Victor Garber to be godfather to their daughter, Violet. Elton John is godfather to Victoria and David Beckham's son's Brooklyn and Romeo.

While the role of a godparent can vary according to the families involved, there's a good chance this new role may give Pippa some practice if she soon becomes an auntie.
