Captain Jack Sparrow Says We Can Expect "zombies, Cut-throats, and the Vicious, Vivacious Penelope Cruz"
There are few film franchises that have been able to deliver consistently successful films such as the Pirates of the Caribbean. The character of Captain Jack Sparrow is something that only Johnny Depp could pull off in the same capacity. Without Depp/Sparrow, there would be no film.
The teaser trailer, which can be seen below, was released at the 2010 Comic-Con in San Diego, California. The annual event where comic book fans unite to discuss the newest comic books and comic book based Hollywood projects provided the perfect backdrop to release this film.
Pirates of the Caribbean 4 is about Cap. Jack Sparrow crossing paths with a woman from his past (Penelope Cruz), who is either in love with him or using him to find the fountain of youth. She forces him on a ship, and the adventure begins. Has Jack Sparrow found the love of his life? Will he successfully navigate the waters - getting past zombies, mermaids, and cut-throats? Or will this be the end of him once and for all.
Also, in case you didn't already know, this POTC is going to be in 3-D. I will definitely be taking my family to the local IMAX to see this one. It is released May 20, 2011.
