If so, get ready for the 25th annual Pittsburg Seafood Festival in Pittsburg, California, out near the eastern portion of Contra Costa County. The scrumptious seafood celebration is a great time for the whole family.

This year's Pittsburg Seafood Festival will include great seafood, of course, and also arts and crafts, live entertainment, and a play area for children. The event is wildly popular so make sure you show up early. Try and take the free shuttle from the Pittsburg BART station.

The 2009 Pittsburg Seafood Festival will not have as many activities or exhibits this year as in years past, according to the Contra Costa Times. Event Details

The Pittsburg Seafood Festival runs from September 12-13, 2009, according to the official website at PittsburgChamber.org. On Saturday the 12th, the hours are from 10am to 7pm. On Sunday the 13th, the hours are from 10am to 6pm.

Note that the event has an admission fee $8.00 per adult. Luckily, kids under the age of six are free as long as they are accompanied by a paying adult.

The festival will be held near downtown Pittsburg and the Pittsburg marina. Remember that thousands of people will be attending this event so be patient and kind to all of your neighbors. Be friendly and strike up conversations with people. Get to know your neighbors. Also be mindful of the people who live in the community near downtown and the marina areas.
