Pamela's Tops the List for Best Breakfast in Pittsburgh
Pamela's Restaurant tops my list for the best breakfast in the Pittsburgh area. I have heard rumors that President Obama was so impressed with this restaurant when he visited Pittsburgh that he had cooks from the restaurant cook breakfast for his family at the White House. These are just rumors but for those who have ever tasted Pamela's incredible rolled pancakes stuffed with strawberries, cream cheese and brown sugar, you would believe the rumors to be true. Breakfast at Pittsburgh's famous Pamela's restaurant, while high in calories, should not be missed. The corn beef hash served with two poached eggs is the best I have ever eaten. Pamela's has several locations in the Pittsburgh area. The location on Forbes Avenue in Oakland serves breakfast all day long and is a favorite haunt for University of Pittsburgh students.
Deluca's Restaurant - Large Diner Style Breakfast in Pittsburgh
Deluca's diner is located on Forbes Avenue in Pittsburgh's historic "Strip District". Here you can expect to be served a large breakfast fit for a Pittsburgh Steeler appetite. Deluca's is consistently rated one of Pittsburgh's best breakfasts. Their breakfast frittatas are really tasty, but occasionally the food can be too greasy for my taste. This is a good place to stop for breakfast on Saturday morning when grocery shopping in Pittsburgh's Strip District.
Dick's Diner in Murrysville Serves Pittsburgh's Best Home Fries
Dick's Diner is one of those restaurants that gets by through word of mouth. Dick's is located on Route 22 in Murrysville, about twenty minutes east of Downtown Pittsburgh. The diner is large, there is plenty of seating and free parking and unlike my first two choices, and you should not have to wait for Sunday breakfast. Dick's breakfast are noteworthy for their delicious home fries, generous portions and made to order eggs. If you are in Murrysville this is the place to go for breakfast.
There are many more great breakfast restaurants in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. These three restaurants top my list of the best breakfasts in Pittsburgh.
