The weakest opponent the Steelers meet is Houston. The Texans bump into the Steelers at Heinz Field for Pittsburgh's home opener on September 7. The Steelers are sure to come out the victors in this match-up.
There are other ineffectual opponents on the Steelers's schedule, but the black-n-gold will have to be constantly on their game to prevent victories by these teams. They include two games with division rival Cincinnati and cross-state rival Philadelphia.
As for the rest of Pittsburgh schedule, opponents include the always-troublesome division rivals Baltimore and Cleveland and conference rivals Indianapolis, Jacksonville, New England, Tennessee and San Diego. Rounding out the schedule is NFL powerhouse Dallas and the defending Super Bowl champion New York Giants.
The 2008 schedule will be a tremendous test for the Pittsburgh. It will determine if the Steelers are true contenders and have the grit to persevere on their way to the playoffs.
