The Hyeholde
The Hyeholde, which is located in Moon Township is just ten minutes from the Pittsburgh Airport. Not only is this restaurant one of Pittsburgh's most romantic restaurants it is also one of the best restaurants in Pittsburgh. The food is exquisite. Some of the restaurant's signature dishes include their sherry bisque, and their crème brulee. If you love crème brulee (and who doesn't) you will not want to miss the crème brulee served at Pittsburgh's Hyeholde. It is served with berries and a chocolate dipped spoon and is by far the best crème brulee I have ever eaten. The Hyeholde changes their menu often. You will always find a seafood entrée, a chicken entrée, a red meat entrée and an entrée suitable for vegetarians.
It is the restaurant itself, with its cozy tables, fireplace and exquisite gardens, that make the Hyeholde one of the most romantic restaurants in Pittsburgh. Dinner for two is a little on the pricey side (especially for Pittsburgh). Expect to pay around $100 or more if you choose to order a bottle of wine.
The Grand Concourse
Another romantic Pittsburgh restaurant is the Grand Concourse. The Grand Concourse is also one of Pittsburgh's best restaurants. The location can't be beat. The Grand Concourse is located on Pittsburgh's waterfront at Station Square. Dinner at the Grand Concourse followed by a ride on Pittsburgh's incline to the top of Mount Washington makes for a very romantic date.
One of my favorite features of the Grand Concourse is the romantic "sofa seats". If you are planning a dinner in Pittsburgh and want to make it truly romantic reserve, one of the sofa tables at the Grand Concourse. Not only will you be seating very close to your significant other, you will also enjoy beautiful river views. The Grand Concourse serves continental cuisine. I am particularly fond of their fish entrees. Dinner for two will typically run between $100 and $200.
Monterey Bay Fish Grotto
It is the location, perched on top of Pittsburgh's famed Mt. Washington that makes the Monterey Bay Fish Grotto one of the most romantic restaurants in Pittsburgh. The views of Pittsburgh's famed three rivers along with the Pittsburgh skyline can't be beat. If you are a fan of seafood, you will be happy to note that the Monterey Bay Fish Grotto is also one of the best seafood restaurants in Pittsburgh. The menu includes many fresh seafood entrees and there are also several choices for those who prefer steak or chicken. Monterey Bay Fish Grotto offers an extensive wine list. Dinner for two at this romantic Pittsburgh restaurant will generally run between $100 and $200.
The Hyeholde, Grand Concourse, and Monterey Bay Fish Grotto top my list of the three most romantic restaurants in Pittsburgh. They also receive top ranking as three of the best restaurants in Pittsburgh.
