Pizza Challenge: Pizza Hut Vs. Domino's

John Vann
Pizza Hut and Domino's are two of the biggest players in the pizza chain industry; and the might even be the two most recognizable in the entire nation. But what makes these two pizza chains stand out above the rest - and how exactly have they been able to maintain such a strong presence in the U.S. throughout all these years? What it comes down to is great tasting pizza made of fresh ingredients and freshly baked dough, all available at a cost that is affordable - and this holds true no matter whether you prefer Pizza Hut or Domino's. However, many of the similarities end there.

Pizza Hut has several signature pizzas that have been around for years - the classic Pan Pizza, which is also available in a smaller size as a Personal Pan Pizza, Stuffed Crust, Thin and Crispy, and of course their Hand-Tossed dough, as well. But recently they've introduced some new items to their menu, include P'Zones (which is essentially just a calzone), chicken wings and more recently, a variety of pasta dishes and their new Panormous Pizza - advertised as their largest pan pizza ever made. Pizza Hut also offers a number of appetizers as well, including potato bites, breadsticks, cheese sticks, cinnamon sticks, and Hershey's chocolate dunkers for those who crave that sweet desert afterwards.

Not to be outdone, however, Domino's has continued baking several of their famous pizza pies throughout the company's entire lifespan, as well. Their classic hand-tossed dough is of course always available, but Domino's is also home to the ultimate deep dish, the classic thin, and the beloved Brooklyn style crust. And to celebrate different cultures and regions in our nation, Domino's has introduced their line of American Legends; including the Honolulu Hawaiian or Fiery Hawaiian pizzas for those who like a little bit of an exotic flair, and they round out their menu with the Philly Cheese Steak, Cali Chicken Bacon Ranch, Pacific Veggie, Memphis BBQ Chicken and Buffalo Chicken pizzas, as well.

As you can see, it doesn't really matter which pizza chain you choose - whether it's Pizza Hut or Domino's, you're sure to get a great-tasting meal for the entire family at a price that won't break your budget. And with so many different options and different dishes available you're sure to find something to please every member of your family, no matter how picky some of their tastes may be.
