Pizza Hut Lacks Customer Service Skills to Keep My Business

There we are, craving pepperoni with the works. We may be craving a full on vegetarian pizza pie or one of the many choices that Pizza Hut has to offer from their menu. Gathering the family around, we decide what we are going to have for dinner. The prices are really good and we have made our choice on a stuff crust pepperoni pizza and a liter of soda. I pick up the phone to call my local Pizza Hut location to make an order. I'm told by the Pizza Hut employee that they have stop delivering. I look at the clock and think "Are you crazy? It's 7pm and you have stopped delivering?" The phone is politely put down and the family discusses a next plan of action.

We decide to call the next Pizza Hut that is only another mile away from the first location. I go through the motion of dialing the number. I ask the Pizza Hut employee if they are delivering. I feel blessed because they are delivering. I explain the mistake of the first Pizza Hut location to the employee. I'm then asked "What is your local cross-street?" I tell the employee my cross street only to be informed that they will not deliver to that location. I think my jaw hit the floor when I heard those words and immediately asked to speak with the manager.

The manager was already on the phone. Trying to keep my cool, I asked why they would not deliver to my location. The response is that I am too far from their location. While I'm on the telephone, I'm also looking at the location map on the corporate website. This Pizza Hut is too far from my location? They are not willing to drive an extra mile for customer satisfaction and a bill of $25? The manager responds with a definite yes.

I have to admit by then I didn't care about the pizza. I craved customer service more than a three hundred calorie slice of pizza. I politely hung up the telephone and screamed. My next telephone call was to the corporate franchise office. I wanted the company to know what their Pizza Hut franchise owners were doing to current and future customers. I am connected to the corporate customer service department where Allen apologized continuously for the negative reaction that I received. Allen does an excellent job and calming my anger and taking my complaint.

I must admit that not all of this Pizza Hut location is negative. When the Pizza is delivered to us, it is always fresh, hot and made to order. The drivers for Pizza Hut really know about customer service. The uniforms are always clean, the hair is tucked into a hat, and they have a smile on their face. I always tip the drivers when I can and feel bad when I can not tip the drivers.

I was at the Anna Nagar 2nd avenue store in Chennai, the service was pathetic. They have two floors and employees there do not allow people to enter the top floor even if the ground one is packed(maybe they find it difficult to serve on top). There was one table available when i went in which can seat just 4 people, we were 6 of us and the store employee wanted us to squeeze into it and adjust in it. we saw few others entering the store behind us and they were sent up since there was not more table left in the ground floor. When i asked the employee there about moving on top and told them that it is not possible to adjust, he gave us lousy reasons and told us that we need to adjust only in that table. We were forced to leave the store without eating and the employee was fine with it and he still dint not want to give us a bigger table. This is really weird and i don't understand how pizza hut can treat customers this way.

That was well written bullshit. I work at Pizza Hut, each location has a set parameters for delivery, and we are absolutely forbidden to go outside of that area. There should be a Hut able to deliver to you, and there was, it was the first Hut location you called. Don't blame the 2nd Hut on the mistakes of the first. Why couldn't they deliver? You failed to even say why. 2nd location had a viable reason as to why they couldn't... was it snowing? Icy? Was it really 7pm and not 10pm? Something in your story is off. It's people like you why the Customer is NOT always right.

What I don't get is, when someone posts a legitimate complaint, like this one, where online they were agreeing to deliver, yet in reality would not, there are the few who try to excuse poor business practice? Could it be you defenders work for Pizza Hut? Well, I have to tell you, that if you employees continue to treat customers so unprofessionally, you will be losing your jobs because a lot less orders will be coming in. It is in your best interest to apologize for poor business practices on behalf of your company, then it may win some customers instead of lose them.

Yeah Pizza Hut is known for it's poor customer service. The pizza tastes good but I'll skip the heart-disease-causing pizza and the stress that comes along with it dealing with unprofessional, irresponsible employees that don't care about customers. Guess that's Pizza Hut training, they don't care about our health(with their pizza drenched in oil), why should they care about treating us kindly?

No Bruno it's the fact that a person goes online to order and it says that they are delivering, yet when a person reconfirms their order, they announce that they are not delivering?

Interesting the writer has money for delivered pizzas but sometimes "can't tip". Think that might have something to do with you not getting a pizza delivered at 7pm? haha. Is a bell going off now?

I still believe that if a company is going to offer online ordering there should be a way to notify customers that they are not delivering for the day. I can understand not delivery from another store due to company policy but they could have just said that when I called the corporate office instead of just leaving me to wonder why.

I agree that good customer service is important.

I ordered a pizza at 5:30 and asked for delivery. I was informed that it would be 9;10 before it would be delivered. I then explained that would be too long and asked to pickup my pizza from the pizza hut on 39th main st, and they said I could pick up at 6:50. When I arrived at pizza hut I asked the cashier if my order was ready. She told me it was ready to picked up. I gave her my debit card and she placed the charge on my card. She went to grab my pizza and I wondered what was taking so long she had gotten the manager. The manager informed me that the type of pizza that I ordered they didn't make anymore. She asked me if I wanted to wait while they made a different
I asked for my money back and I still have to wait. Gas prices are entirely to high for them to play these kind of games. I work in the
hospitality field and I will not ever send another guest to pizza hate. I called customer service thinking they would care after advertising customer satisfaction on the box

I am very displeased with a recent visit to Pizza Hut on Rt. 6 in Honesdale, Pa. After waiting for about 20 minutes to be seated, the waitress asked if we would like something to drink. My brother (45 years old ) and myself, ( 51 years old )ordered a beer. Our friend ordered a soda. I was shocked when the waitress refused to serve us a beer and insisted on seeing I.D. When I questioned her about this, she stated "That's Pennsyvania Law!" After being completed mortified by her actions , we left. Not ordering anything.
After contacting the state police, I was informed that I would have to take this matter up with Pizza Hut. So I went to speak with the manager. I received a similar commentary. This is indeed a mis application of the State Law requiring that you need to be at least 21 years of age to consume alcoholic beverages and you must be prepared to prove it. I hardly think a 45 and 51 year old, need to prove that they are over 21. That's just common damn sense!!!
    I wonder how many
