Pizza Hut vs. Papa John's Pizza

When it comes to handmade, fresh pizza, two popular chains stand out amongst all the rest, and those two pizzerias are known as Pizza Hut and Papa John's. They both offer quality ingredients, affordable prices, and quick delivery -but there are some subtle differences that set these two apart from one another.

First of all, the beginning of each pizzeria is entirely different. The first Pizza Hut restaurant was opened up in 1958 by a pair named Dan and Frank Carney, and it was located on the campus of Wichita State University in the state of Kansas.

Papa John's, on the other hand, wasn't founded until almost 30 years later, with the first one opening up shop in 1985. After the founder, John Schnatter bought a small pub known Mick's Lounge in Jeffersonville, Indiana he had the bright idea to start serving pizza at the establishment. Soon thereafter, Mick's Lounge was converted into the very first Papa John's restaurant.

The next big difference between Pizza Hut and Papa John's is the selection of beverages that each establishment has to offer its patrons. Papa John's serves Coca-Cola brand products, while Pizza Hut deals exclusively in Pepsi products; though some of the restaurants also serve beer to the customers who choose to dine in to eat their meal.

Both pizzerias provide a wide variety of toppings to choose from, though Papa John's definitely has the edge when it comes to different styles of pizzas. When comparing crusts between the two restaurants, however, Pizza Hut wins. Their deep dish is some of the best around, and they are also one of the few pizzerias that offer a stuffed-crust pizza; and Pizza Hut's is absolutely delicious.

When it comes to service, again it is a tie. Both pizzerias have many locations, and both also offer delivery to most addresses. However, Papa John's isn't really known for being a pizzeria to dine-in as Pizza Hut is - this may turn some customers away from Papa John's if they are looking to spend an evening at a great pizzeria with their friends and family.

And while Papa John's might be slightly more expensive, they usually offer some better specials, and seem to put out far more coupons than Pizza Hut. And if you take advantage of these deals, you really can save a bundle with Papa John's.

Really though, it comes down to a matter of personal choice. Some prefer to stick with the traditional, tried-and-true chain of Pizza Hut, while others like the exciting new flavors offered by Papa John's. Try them both today - maybe even side by side and at the same time, and decide for yourself what one you like better.

This article was bullshit. In other words "I LIKE BOTH EAT THEM BOTH" there wasn't even a need for an article if your thoughts can be summed up in a sentence. Plus Pizza Hut is the greasiest pizza around with its only rival being Little Caesar's
