Pizza Hut WingStreet Lemon Pepper Wings Review

Amy Brantley
I've been a fan of the new wings at Pizza Hut ever since they started the WingStreet line. I've tried just about every flavor on the menu and when I noticed the lemon pepper variety, I had to try them. After all, how could there be anything wrong with such a great sounding flavor? But, would these wings be as good as some of the others flavors on the menu? The answer to that question would be a huge no and here's why.

When our waitress brought the wings to our table they looked just as delicious as any other wings we had got at Pizza Hut. My boyfriend and I dove right in, but I was immediately thrown off by the taste. The lemon flavor is so intense that it's bitter. This was one of those times where the lemon flavor reminded me of cleaning products. It was downright awful. I can't even tell you much about the pepper flavor of the wings because I was too taken aback by the bitter, cleaning product taste.

While researching these wings online, I found out that Pizza Hut discontinued their Cajun wings to make room for the lemon pepper variety on their menu. This was a huge disappointment as the Cajun wings are actually quite delicious and taste nothing like cleaning products.

To be perfectly honest, I cannot recommend these wings under any circumstances, even if you love lemon pepper chicken. Pizza Hut made a huge mistake by taking Cajun wings off the menu to make room for this flavor. I actually have to wonder if they even did taste tests with this flavor. I can't imagine anyone liking the bitterness of this product. Also, I would like to point out that I love the taste of lemon. I have even been known to eat plain lemon wedges. This however does not taste anything like fresh lemon. I would have to give this product 0 out of 5 stars. This is a first. I have never disliked a product so much that I couldn't find something to redeem it. This product has absolutely no redeeming qualities. Stay away from this one folks.

I don't think our Pizza Hut has these.
