Buffalo Chicken Pizza
For a spicy kick to your Super Bowl pizza try this Buffalo Chicken Pizza recipe that will go great with finger foods or dips. It is also a healthier alternative to the traditional greasy pizza.
What you will need
6 ounces cooked chicken breast, sliced 1/2-inch thick
6 tablespoons hot pepper sauce for buffalo wings (such as Red Hot brand)
3/4 cup sour cream
1 (12-inch) pre-baked pizza crust
1/2 cup (2 ounces) shredded Monterey Jack cheese
3/4 cup (3 ounces) crumbled blue cheese
1 ounce green onions, chopped
2 ounces celery, minced
Directions
First, you will need to marinate the chicken overnight to get a real kick from the sauce. If you don't want to marinate the chicken you can add it the day you make the pizza. If you plant o marinate it overnight add the cooked chicken with the red pepper sauce.
When ready to bake the pizza preheat your oven to 475°F.
Next. place the pizza crust on a pizza pan or large baking sheet. Spread the sour cream over the crust and sprinkle the Monterey Jack cheese over the sour cream. Arrange the marinated chicken on top of the cheese.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until the cheese is lightly browned and bubbly. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with the blue cheese, green onions, and celery.
Barbeque Smoked Sausage Pizza
This is another easy to make pizza recipe for your Super Bowl party that is great for any BBQ chicken fans.
What you will need
1 (14 ounce) package of beef smoked sausage
2 (14 ounce) packages 12-inch size pizza crust
2/3 cup of barbecue sauce
3/4 cup seeded, chopped plum tomatoes
1 cup thinly sliced red onion
1 green bell pepper, chopped
3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup shredded Pepper Jack cheese
Directions
Preheat your oven to 425F.
Place crusts on 2 baking sheets and spread 1/3 cup of barbecue sauce on each crust.
Cut sausage in 1/4" slices. Top each pizza with 1/2 each of sausage, tomatoes, red onion, pepper, mozzarella and the Pepper Jack cheese.
Bake 20 minutes or until crust is crispy and cheese is lightly browned.
