Places to Have Cholesterol Screening in Michigan

Tanya Wells (Tsggirl)
What is Cholesterol?

Health Watch says that cholesterol is a waxy fat - like substance that is found in all cells of the body. All people need some cholesterol for their bodies to work the right way. Your body makes all the cholesterol it needs.

Cholesterol is also found in some of the foods we eat.

Your body users cholesterol to make hormones, vitamin D, and substances that help you digest food.

Having high cholesterol is not a good thing, because people with high cholesterol are at greater risk of having a heart attack. I say a heart attack, because high cholesterol can lead to a build up of the arteries wall which can cause a narrowing of the arteries wall. An a narrowing of the wall of the arteries will cause less blood flow to the heart, and without blood flow you are not getting oxygen from that blood to your heart.

There are some other health issues that could come about with having high cholesterol that you need to seek help for so take a look at these screening places in Michigan.

Vytorin says there are two types of cholesterol

Bad cholesterol makes your arteries dirty and clogged with plaque

Good cholesterol can clean your arteries by carrying away excess cholesterol

Ways to improve your cholesterol levels are:

Medication that your doctor prescribes to you

A healthy diet and exercise

GetTheCholesterolfact.com list diet as choosing foods that are good for your heart. To do this you should read the nutrition labels, and when eating out you should ask what's in the food you want to order, in order to find the lower calorie food choices.

GetTheCholesterolfact.com also list exercise as just getting up and moving for ten minutes three times a day.

Lowering your cholesterol is nothing to play with so go and get checked out as soon as possible.
