Photo lab/ Drugstore
You can probably get your digital photos developed at the same place where you used to drop off your film. Most photo labs and drugs stores are now equip with the technology to print photos for you directly from your cameras memory card, or a CD of pictures that you burn from your computer. You would just bring in your cameras memory, or a CD and request the prints that you would like. If you do plan on taking your photos to a photo lab it's best to only keep pictures on your memory card or CD that you want to have printed. It can be difficult, if not impossible to explain what photos you do and don't want off a memory card that contains several hundred different pictures. Pictures from a photo lab or drugstore will usually cost about the same as it would cost to get the same about of pictures developed from a film camera.
Photo kiosk
Located in shopping malls and retail store, photo kiosks allow you to insert your memory card directly into the machine and select the photos you would like prints of. Once you make a selection the machine will immediately make the print, and you can be on your way in minutes without having to wait for someone else to print your pictures for you. A photo kiosk can be a great idea when you need a print quickly, or if you want to print larger pictures. Prices are generally per 8x10 piece of paper, so for smaller pictures, you tend to pay a lot more than you would traditionally.
Online sites
Online sites are by far the cheapest option when looking to get prints from your digital camera. With an online site you would simply upload your pictures onto the site, and then the site will print them and send them out to you in the mail. Many online sites can get your photos out to you in just a few days, and will also give you a web page where you can send friends and family members allowing them to view and order pictures that they would like prints of on their own
Photo printer at home
If you like to print photos from your digital camera often, you may want to consider investing in a photo printer of your own. A photo printer will allow you to choose what prints when you want, and print them out immediately. With the cost of paper and ink you will probably end up spending a similar amount to what you would spend elsewhere, but a photo printer can be very convenient when you want a print, and don't want t go out to get it.
Printing your digital photos can be easy and fun, just do a little searching and your bound to find the perfect place to get your prints, and get back to taking more pictures.
