If you wish to buy groceries instead of eating out, there are a number of grocery stores in Curry Village, Crane Flat, Yosemite Village, Wawona, and more. Many travelers choose to eat out as it is easy and affordable, but some enjoy making their own food. Whichever way you choose, you won't be disappointed.
The Ahwahnee Dining Room is an upscale restaurant in Yosemite Valley that serves dinner, lunch and breakfast. There is a dress code, i.e. no shorts or jeans, and they recommend you make reservations.
The Mountain Room is a gorgeous restaurant that provides diners with spectacular views of Yosemite Falls. They are open daily and year-round, and are located in the Yosemite Lodge. Attire is casual and they have an excellent atmosphere.
The Yosemite Lodge Food Court is open all day and has buffet style meals. They offer all courses and are open year round as well. Casual clothing is fine and it is a great place to relax.
Pavilion Buffet is located in Curry Village in Yosemite and offers a typical buffet-style meal that is both good and reasonably priced. They offer a dinner and breakfast buffet, but not one for lunch.
Curry Village Taco Stand is of course in Curry Village and offers many excellent, reasonably priced hand-meals, like nachos, burritos, tacos, beverages, and ice cream, as well as assorted other treats. Enjoy Yosemite as you eat outside in nice weather during Yosemite's warm months.
Yosemite's Curry Village Pizza Patio is an excellent place to dine in Yosemite and has great pizza. They offer a salad bar along with numerous types of pizza that will make your mouth water. They are open seasonally form March to December.
The Village Grill is a small restaurant that offers fast food. The food is delicious and comes quickly, which is a plus if you want to spend the day exploring. The Village Grill is located in Yosemite Village and is open seasonally from spring through fall.
Each of these eateries carries it's own charm and ambience; the wide variety makes it easy to find what you want, and optional grocery shopping ensures that eating on your trip to Yosemite can be as inexpensive or luxurious as you wish.
