Places to Find Christmas Gifts for $100 or Less

If you live on fixed income or a small budget, Christmas shopping can be a recurring nightmare. Christmas shopping should be fun for the shopper, but many times Christmas shopping is stressful for families on a low budget. At this time of year, many low-income families struggle with buying Christmas gifts for everyone on their shopping list. But did you know that you can get everyone a cool present with $100 or less?

First, you will need to split up your list with adults on one side and children on the other side. Be sure to count how many presents that you need all together. Then, you will need to buy some hard and chewy candy, which should be enough for everyone. Plus, you may want to buy some lollipops, bubble gum, or cookie mix. Be sure to purchase some cheap sandwich bags, in order to make a small goodie bag for everyone on your list.

Next, visit several local dollar stores and look for that perfect gift. You are bound to find something for everyone, even the hard to buy for. Most small children love paints, coloring books, crayons, and puzzles. But, many older children would enjoy receiving a journal, extra school supplies, and games. Even the hard to buy for teenagers enjoy receiving beauty supplies, cologne or perfume, and writing supplies.

You will find whatnots, dishes, and many other neat household items that the adults on your list will love. However, try to find out what each person may need or want, by asking people that know them. So, save money this year, by looking for bargains at each new store that you visit. Don't spend all year paying for those gifts, which you purchased for your family this year. Instead, try these simple ideas, which are sure to please anyone on your shopping list.

Don't forget to check your Sunday paper for valuable coupons, which will help you save a little money also. You may find coupons for Christmas Dinner or other stuff that you may need for the special day you are planning. Always take advantage of the buy one-get one free deals, so you will have extra on hand. Additionally, look around town for bargains and sales, which will allow you to get more stuff for your money.

Sometimes, you can find some cheaper clothing, toys, and mementos at local flea markets or garage sales. Just remember to bring your shopping list and stick to your strict budget of $100 or less, no matter what you find. However, remember to start early as you can, in order to avoid the last minute rush on Christmas Eve. Therefore, your wallet will thank you, once all of your shopping is finished and wrapped for Christmas morning.
