Trash so one of the best places to find scrap copper, but other people know this as well. Try to hit the trash routes in the early evening as people are putting out trash and others have yet to pick through it. Small appliances, broken electronics, and scraps from DIY jobs are all commonly found in the trash and can have a few dollars or more worth of copper. Look for AC/DC converters as they contain a lot of copper wire and are commonly thrown away.

Most contractors keep and recycle the scrap copper that they produce, but some small jobs especially those done by homeowners might result in scrap copper being thrown into the trash. Look for pipes, heating and cooling units, and wiring. Air conditioners, refrigerators, and other appliances that are being replaced might be left at the curb. Check to see if these items work before scrapping as they can often be sold for reuse at a higher price than the scrap value.

my friend has a 4 cyl truck he has the schedules of all the garbage routes,he just gets scrap out of people's trash and makes about 150.00 per week he said.after gas he's only making about 110.00 a week though.still if you had the time and gas that's at least 400.00 per month,he sometimes hits something big and makes 400.00 in a week.
