One of my favorite sources of good recipes is allrecipes.com. The reason I like this site is because the recipes are rated by people who try them. There is nothing worse than trying a recipe that tastes awful. We've all had that happen. I usually choose recipes that have 5 star ratings. You also want to make sure that more than one person has rated the recipe. Users rate the recipes and also can make comments about things that they may have added to the recipe to improve it.
If you register on their site, you can save your favorite recipes to your recipe box. That way you won't have to search for the recipes that you like or the ones you want to try. You can also create shopping lists and view the comments you have left for recipes.
Another good source for recipes is Associated Content itself. Jenny Writer had this awesome recipe for, Irish Cooking: Irish Chicken Stew with Dumplings. My husband and I both thought that this was really wonderful. It's a very hearty meal and tastes really delicious.
Of course, there is also the old fashioned way of using a cookbook. I rarely use a cookbook as I find it a lot easier to use online sources these days. Besides, if what you need is on the computer, you can do away with books, magazines and recipe cards. Why not make your life a little less cluttered.
With all these sources of good recipes there is no excuse for eating boring food. Forget about eating out and fast food. You can make it better and probably save a little money at the same time. You will have to go grocery shopping, but sites like allrecipes.com will even create the shopping list for you. The only thing it won't do is deliver the food to the door for you.

Post a CommentGreat list. When I used to teach people who are blind or otherwise visually impaired to use adaptive software to access the computer, being able to find recipes again was always a favorite activity of my students.
I like these websites, but must say I am partial to using an actual book. Old fashioned, I guess.
Thanks for the sites. Never look at allrecipes.com on an empty stomach. :P
