Abigail Beal
Are you a journal writer? A creative writer? A scrapbooker? Just the creative type? If so, journal prompts could be just what you are looking for.

Journal prompts are little snippets, usually one or two sentence on a topic. They are just enough to get you started thinking about an idea. The wonderful thing about journal prompts is they can get you thinking about lots of different topics that you haven't thought about in awhile, or maybe - ever! Getting your mind thinking in different ways leads to lots of great creative thinking. And even if what you create isn't going to be a national bestseller, sometimes that creative thinking can lead to even more creative thinking and that leads you to your very best idea. That's the funny thing about creativity, you just never know how its going to come out.

Using journal prompts that someone else has written can be very helpful because they have a different way of thinking, and they will prompt you to think about different ideas - give you a great creative jumpstart of sorts. So visiting some of these websites could be just the ticket for your creative projects. Why not give it a try?

Thanks for the helpful article. I used it as a resource for my article on encouraging kids to journal: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1962400/how_to_encourage_your_child_to_write_pg2.html?cat=25
