Cleveland, Ohio is full of free things to do and places to see, you just have to know where to look. Here are some more free things and places that Cleveland has to offer.

Cuyahoga Valley National Park

The Cuyahoga Valley National Park is a huge stretch of land that starts just south of Cleveland and goes all the way down into Akron. It follows the Cuyahoga River and the main attraction is the Ohio-Erie Canal. It also has several different historic sites that you can visit for free along with wetlands and nature galore. There are hiking trails, bike and walk paths, concert areas, and tons of picnic areas. Pick a beautiful spot and you can spend the whole day in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and never get bored.

Cleveland's Lake View Cemetery

A cemetery may not sound that fun, but if you like history this is a great place to visit. The cemetery opened way back in the middle of the 1900's and the monuments and headstones reflect the history. You can also visit the graves of famous Clevelanders such as John D. Rockefeller and President James Garfield.

Great Lakes Brewing Company Tours

The Great Lakes Brewing Company is the oldest microbrewery in Cleveland. They offer free tours of their facility were you can watch them make the beers. The tours start every hour on Fridays and Saturdays until 9pm. If you want, you can then go to the Great Lakes restaurant and bar right next door and get some dinner and drinks.

National Polka Hall of Fame

If you are from Cleveland, you know that back in the old days, the city was known for it's polka. The National Polka Hall of Fame contains different exhibits on the history of the music, instruments, and clothing. It also has a list of inductees that are in the National Polka Hall of Fame including the Cleveland polka king, Al Yankovic. The hall of fame is located in Euclid which is only 15 minutes away from downtown Cleveland and is open Tuesday through Saturday.

Lake Erie Nature and Science Center

This center is located in Bay Village, which is just east of Cleveland. The admission to the center is free and you can learn all about the nature and wildlife of lake Erie. The center also has an animal rehab clinic and several animal exhibits that you can see for free.

Cleveland Browns Training Camp Practice

The Cleveland Browns training camp is free to the general public to watch. During the months of July and August you can go to the Brown's training camp, located in Berea and watch the Browns practice. If you are a fan of football or you have a little one that loves football this is a great chance to get up close to the professional football players. Sometimes, the Brown's players will even sign autographs after the practice.
