Barqui Park
Looking for a place to take the whole family? Barqui Park is it. This beautiful tourist attraction is one of the most enjoyed places visited while doing Curitiba sightseeing. Children can play on the big playground, while adults can enjoy themselves in the huge park that totals over 1,500,000 sq miles. Other attractions within the park include a model car track and a large lake.
Cathedral
Many Christians and historians alike enjoy visiting cathedrals while vacationing. The Curitiba Cathedral is a Gothic-style church built in 1813. It is one of the best places people can go while doing Curitiba sightseeing.
Old-Time Railway
Travel by train has gone by the wayside in North America, but it remains somewhat popular in Curitiba. For a very affordable price, you can treat yourself and your family to an old-fashioned train ride that will take you from the train station across Curitiba in a three hour trip. This is an excellent activity for a Sunday afternoon in Curitiba.
Museum of Contemporary Art
Many countries have art museums and Curitiba is no different. Located outside of Curitiba, this art museum is a terrific place to visit to learn more about Brazilian art. There are currently over 300 pieces on display by many different types of Brazilian artists. This is definitely the cream of the crop when it comes to whats nearby.
Guaira Theatre
It's always enjoyable to see a play, and Curitiba delivers here. You can go to Praça Santos Andrade to see the Guaira Theatre, enjoying the various shows that are played here. The Theatre is an excellent place for adults and children alike to visit and is a very enjoyable part of the Curitiba sightseeing process.
