Conveniently located just off I-94 in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin and 5 miles east of downtown Kenosha, Wisconsin this hotel is well worth the visit. As a frequent visitor to this hotel, I can say the comfort level only gets better with each stay. The rooms provide desks and ergonomic desk chairs with free Wi-Fi connections. There is extra seating with either a chair or a recliner, and the bedding is cozy with comfortable high thread count sheets and bunches of pillows. The rooms work well for both vacations or a business trips.

This is not a new hotel. There is an older feel to the lobby and hallways but it is always immaculately clean and fresh. The new updates include flat screen TV's complete with satellite, pay pre-view and Nintendo in each room, giving a home-away-from-home atmosphere.

The facility offers room service provided by a local food delivery service. Offerings range from hot meals of fried chicken with sides, bar-b-que ribs, to scrumptious sandwiches or burgers. The average price is $10.00 to $15.00, the service is fast and the food is fresh. This is a great way to order a late night snack or in room cozy dinner as most nights, they deliver until 11 p.m.

Rooms range from double queens to king beds, with two suites available for larger families. The average room rate is $69.00, but this writer has booked on line previously and gotten a $45.00 king room rate with an advanced reservation.

Breakfast is always good with fresh pastries, breads, hot and cold cereals and the waffle maker that I want at home! I can make a waffle without it sticking! (As a frequent traveler, I try to add a touch of home by stirring pecans to my batter before pouring, or on top of the waffle when it is finished. Sometimes I cut up a banana on top with the butter and syrup, making a great breakfast).

This La Quinta Inns and Suites is conveniently located. There are many eateries such as, but not limited to, Noodles and Company, Famous Dave's Bar-b-que, White Castle, Gyro's, and Perkins all within just a block or so.

Best of all, this La Quinta is pet friendly and there are lots of grassy areas around the hotel for walking your pooch!

I-94 is a block away making this location convenient to both Chicago, Illinois to the south and Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the north. Lake Geneva, Wisconsin is 30 minutes to the west. The staff is very helpful and friendly, as well as knowledgeable about local attractions. The Prime and Gurnee Mills Outlet Malls are within a few minutes driving time making this a great place to spend a few days with friends and family for holiday-time shopping.

Let us not forget the Jelly Belly Factory! It is just a mile away. The tour of the factory is great, but the trip through the Jelly Bean Store is wonderful,--and you have to try the "Belly flops"!
