The area that the Alyean Resort is located in has the longest daytime hours of about sixteen hours during the month of April and only about seven hours of daylight during the winter months. The short amount of daylight during the winter months is why the Alyeska Resort allows night skiing so their visitors can have ample skiing time.

You will find lodging at the Alyeska Resort as well as a great place to ski. The Alyeska Prince Hotel has fine dining, elegant rooms, and nightly entertainment. You will be able to find other hot spots for entertainment in the area even though they are not associated with the Alyeska Prince Hotel.

One of the local hot spots is the Glacier Tubing Park for you tubing enthusiasts. The Glacier Tubing Park has two lanes of terrain and a surface lift to the top of the terrain areas. This is a must visit park your family will enjoy. Another local hot spot is the Alyeska Terrain Park which is designed for snowboarding enthusiasts. There are other winter activities that you can enjoy in and around the Alyeska Resort. These activities include heliskiing, ocean cruise tours, ice climbing, flight seeing tours, dog sledding, mountaineering, back country skiing, and polar bear watching.

The rates of the rooms range from $151 to $250 a night and the resort is open all year. Children are allowed while pets are not and there is a sixty-passenger tram available.
