Planet Green and the Economy

Many people think being green will cause the auto industry to pack up and close their doors. However that is not the case. From 2000 to 2007 many of the car producers like Toyota, Honda, Ford, Hyundai, Mazda, and GMC support the idea of greener cars. Within the works the Toyota Prius gets and astounding 51 MPG Hwy miles and is rated the highest score of 55 on the green scale. And just rolling out a green car does not make a green car green! It all starts from a green manufacturing building. Three quarters of the US auto steel gets recycled so it is already being started from reused recyclables before mass production. There are many different proven factors that help when creating less pollution to the environment.

Have a lead foot? By not driving with the "pedal-to-the-medal" attitude you would be helping the environment because lower emissions are being set out into the air. Are you going down a hill? When you do not need to use the gas pedal, simply just lift your foot off. It will save some gas and again not let as much emissions into the air. But I remind you to keep your foot near the break pedal. Do you like to burn rubber? Where do you think those emissions are going? You might need to buy new "shoes" for your car. Open your window when you are hot! It saves you gas and will spare you that horrible gas bill. Do you carry around unneeded items? They are making you burn more fuel. I know for a fact that running of deflated tires were the pressure is around 35 PSI (normal) and I been running around 25 PSI will make your gas seem like you just fill up every half hour. I am bad about getting my oil changed. And boy is that a huge project. When you do it yourself that is. Ask your boss if you might be able to do some type of incentive program where as you say pick up a few of your co-workers you get to leave early? There were a few easy ways to help sort of say "Green your car" without you being green. I know I am up for as much green as I can see and smell. Trust me the world gets pretty... Stinky! So auto producers keep up the good work. And people remember the rules! And slow down.
