Planet Hollywood -Myrtle Beach, SC

With so many restaurant choices in the Myrtle Beach area, it was hard to decide where to eat lunch at before leaving for our return trip home. We had planned our day out and it included a visit to Broadway At The Beach. We figured we would eat somewhere at Broadway At The Beach since we were going to be over there anyways. We stumbled across a $5 off coupon for Planet Hollywood and luckily, it was located across the street from Broadway At The Beach!

As we pulled into the parking lot of Planet Hollywood and found quite an empty parking lot, we were very happy that there was not going to be a wait for lunch. With two small children, a long wait time can ruin a meal out! Outside of the restaurant there is a huge monster truck that our oldest son adored. The restaurant is shaped as the Earth and is very interesting to look at. You must walk up two flights of stairs to get to the restaurant. When we walked inside of the restaurant, it was amazing. There was so much to look at. Every inch of Planet Hollywood is covered with memorabilia from famous movies. From genuine clothing that the actors wore to cars and boats used in the films, not one detail is missed. A large screen television plays movies and the entire back wall of the restaurant has famous actors and actresses on the wall.

We were greeted promptly by a server who told us about the menu and what they had to offer for the children. Planet Hollywood offered everything from burgers and pasta to steak and seafood. I ordered a lasagna dish and my husband ordered a bacon cheeseburger. The prices were reasonable as well. The kids meals were not as tempting. There were not very many choices to choose from and the meals were very expensive. Four choices were given to kids and drinks are not even included in the price! We ended up ordering our son a ham and cheese sandwich that cost us a whopping $6! Our food arrived quickly and was very good. We received quality service from our server for the remainder of our visit.

There is a gift shop inside of Planet Hollywood that guests can purchase items from. Overall, our visit at Planet Hollywood was a great one. I do, however, think they should revamp their children's menu for the smallest guests to enjoy the visit as well.
