Planned Parenthood to Open Abortion "Super Center" Targeting Minority Hispanics and Blacks
The abortion issue aside for just a moment here, what's particularly upsetting and provocative is where Planned Parenthood "conveniently" decided to set up shop for their brand spanking new, abortion "super center." The Houston neighborhood in question for their regional headquarters is one heavily populated by minority Hispanics and Blacks. This has logically given rise to allegations that Planned Parenthood is targeting minorities for abortions. Perhaps not coincidentally, abortion rates for minorities, both Hispanics and Blacks, are a lot higher than for white women. For Hispanics, it's three times that of Whites, and for Blacks, it's a staggering five times the number of abortions of Whites.
Clearly, it doesn't take a genius to figure out that Planned Parenthood's invasive move into this predominantly Hispanic and Black neighborhood in Houston is profit-driven, especially when considering the "surgical wing" for abortions in their "super center" of a regional headquarters. I think Planned Parenthood is callously after filthy lucre here, not caring how many minority babies they will abort in that neighborhood so long as they're paid with the almighty dollar for their barbaric services. This analysis is by no means any stretch of the imagination as Planned Parenthood's already been busted in the not-too-distant past for doing exactly that: namely, encouraging donations to their organization aimed precisely at aborting black babies. Basically, profiteering off of abortions targeting minority babies.
Of course, to hear Planned Parenthood tell it (read: spin things their way!), they're just nobly providing services in an area where there's a "great demand" (duh, because you keep encouraging that demand, Planned Parenthood, with your "services"). Then, not content to just strategically appeal to need in defending themselves, Planned Parenthood also plays the altruism card, claiming that "more than 1 million residents in Harris County lack health insurance!" Awwww, they could also give the babies up for adoption instead, but Planned Parenthood knows better than everyone else in this case, end of story!
In a show that they perhaps have to do some damage control in the face of news of this site opening, Planned Parenthood dispatched their CEO to talk with the local Fox affiliate. To hear Peter Durkin tell it, Planned Parenthood's abortion service merely "constitutes a very small percentage of the overall service we provide." Oh, thank God! For a second there, I thought that they were actually killing babies there! But I guess that if it's only a "small percentage," then that small percentage is "a-okay," and all can be forgiven...not!
The problem with groups like Planned Parenthood's argument that they're doing it for women's rights is, of course, that at least half the babies aborted are...gasp!...female babies, which begs the natural question, What about their rights to live and thrive?
The provocative presence of Planned Parenthood's newest and biggest abortion "super center" is enough of a blight to some that yesterday, thousands of pro-life demonstrators from across the US descended upon Houston to demonstrate outside the country's new abortion "super center." The pro-life demonstrators were unsuccessfully contested by a much, much, much smaller mini-contingent of a laughable "several" pro-abortion demonstrators. I guess even those in the pro-abortion crowd won't really advertise to the world that they're pro-abortion, but who can blame them, seeing as how they would be in defense of a site that may be seen by some as an abortion mill.

Post a CommentGreat article! I find this whole situation appalling. I used to work in a pathology department at a Houston hospital. We assisted the pathologist in processing surgical specimens and preparing them for analysis. Occasionally the "specimen" would be a baby which was miscarried. There were a number of times that we got babies that were about 6 inches long, perfectly formed in every way. Every time I saw one, it made me think of how this is what women are legally aborting...beautiful little perfect babies that someone would love...and it made me so angry. I think every woman who is considering an abortion should have to look at and hold one of those perfect little dead babies before the abortion so they know what was alive before they killed it. If they still want an abortion at that point, then they should have to look at and hold their own aborted little dead baby and see how they feel about what they have done.
PP is also planning to open centers in shopping malls in the near future....appalling. As for them setting up shop in an area heavily populated by minorities, it's not surprising, as PP's founder Margaret Sanger had that goal in mind from the beginning, to cut down the minority and poor populations.
