Planned Parenthood Under Fire for Undercover Live Action Video

Planned Parenthood Aids Pimp's Underage Sex Ring?

Donna Porter
"Planned Parenthood Aids Pimp's Underage Sex Ring," claims the title of a LiveAction.org video, the result of an undercover investigation performed by the activist group. While crusades for and against the pro-abortion clinic are not new, the video is more damning than a bad-cop-beats-a-handicapped-person tape.

Though you might support law enforcement, vigilante methods and breaking the law are not acceptable by most standards. There exists a similar dilemma with Planned Parenthood, at least in New Jersey, where the undercover investigation took place.

In the video, Amy Woodruff, LPN, as identified by Live Action, advises two Live Action agents -- a male and female -- posing as a pimp and underage prostitute, respectively. The pimp soon admits to a harem of underage girls - some who do not speak English. Both he and the prostitute show concern about using the services of Planned Parenthood given the girl is only 14.

Woodruff talks to the prospective reproductive health clients about filling out the paperwork and the clinic's obligations, "... on the paperwork there's gonna be a point that asks, um, you know, like, 'Are you sexually active' - stuff like that."

She breaks when discussing age and reporting requirements, and goes on to say she and the other counselor want as little information as possible, but the nurse practitioner is a bit more demanding. Eventually, Woodruff addresses some legalities but some, including Live Action, question the legality of her own:

"So that's where, you know -so-- even if they lie and just say, 'Oh, he's the same age as me. 15.' So you know like if they've -manly 14 and under we have to. It doesn't matter if their partner's the same age, younger -whatever. 14 and under we have to report." (3:34)

A discussion ensues indicating that there is play room on reporting requirements with sexually active teens if the client is age 15 and older. Woodruff further states:

"So as long as they just lie and say, 'Oh, he's 15, 16.' You know, as long as they don't say '14' and as long as it's not too much of an age gap then we just kind of like-then we just kind of play it stup--" (4:01)

Pimp: "What if they do say they're 14?"

"Well, you know, from there it's just really watching what they say."

The topic switches to abortion and the Planned Parenthood counselor begins to explain there are different legal requirements for STD testing, pregnancy testing and abortions. At first she responds as follows:

"If they come in for pregnancy testing um - s**t - at that point it'd still be -you'd still be. You never got this from me. Just to make your lives easier." (4:18)

Woodruff grabs a piece of paper and a marker and replies, "If they are 14 and under just send 'em right there if they need an abortion. [Laughs] Ok?"

The issue here is the Metropolitan Medical Association, who reportedly has less stringent guidelines than Planned Parenthood, but only if the girl seeking an abortion is 14 or under. Otherwise, Woodruff advises the two that New Jersey guidelines are different for girls ages 15 and up.

Woodruff goes on to advise the pimp on how to save money for STD testing as well by listing the prostitutes as "students."

Live Action has released several hidden camera videos from 10 states, which, according to their press release, "shows the alarming trend of illegal Planned Parenthood."

Donna, thanks for giving this credibility. Of course, Live Action is being accused of doctoring the tapes and all sorts of other things, but I've had enough close-up experience with Planned Parenthood as a researcher and post-abortion counselor to know that where's there's this much smoke, there's fire. These videos aren't the first evidence. There's Abby Johnson's new book, too (the ex-PP manager). I was going to write about this too...still might.

This was so disgusting. I heard the video and I agree with Nancy

I hope these people can be brought up on charges...or at least fired.

    Whoa!

Those Planned Parenthoods should be Banned Parenthoods. I'm speechless (for once)!
