Make sure that when planning a backyard camp out that you have these things. Make sure that you have a tent. You are going to need this to sleep in overnight, just in case it rains or something. You are going to need the tent to shelter you from bugs and other things that might annoy you while you are trying to sleep. Some people just use sleeping bags and go sleep on the lawn, but if you want to have the best time, get a sleeping bag and a tent together so you can have an enjoyable camp out.
The next things you should consider bringing with you are some snacks. Make sure that you have a number of delicious items like chips, or pretzels to snack on while you are having your camp out so you do not get hungry. You should also bring some pop or some juice to sip on with your snacks. You might also want to bring a flashlight for when it gets dark out. You could bring some books to read as well. If you want to start a small fire in the backyard, a good idea would be to bring some matches as well as some rocks for building a bon fire. Make sure, also that you have access to some small twigs or pieces of wood to get your fire going with. If you can't find enough material to start a fire on your own, you also might want to bring some fire starter. This works great to get immediate heat when you need it. You should also bring a change of clothes too, in case it is cold in the morning when you get up, or you get them dirty the day before, you can wake up feeling clean and rejuvenated. All these items are good things to have if you are planning a backyard sleep camp out.
