Planning Your Fall 2011 Wedding

If you've planned to have your big day in one of those crisp autumn months this year, what can you expect to be trending? We can definitely pick out some of the things that will be making brides (and spectators) squeal with delight this fall!

Color palates

Blushes and champagnes are always perfect for a fall wedding as they add that special autumn appeal without being too bold or losing that romantic, feminine feeling.

If you are going bold, choose colors that definitely remind your guests of autumn - oranges (and remember, there are all kinds of shades - pumpkin, burnt orange, peach, etc.) are perfect, as are shades of yellows, browns, purples, and even blues.

Speaking of blues, dusty blues like periwinkle can add just the right amount of romance and even a sort of "cooling" effect to a more bold color palate. Try incorporating blue sprigs or even sprigs of lavendar into your bold flower bouquets or pretty ties around the waists of your maids.

Gown designs

Check out Martha Stewart's website for pictures of this fall's hottest designers when it comes to that perfect gown. The trend seems to lean towards glistening, sparkling accents and overlays and strapless designs.

There also seems to be a trend towards very simple, flowing designs like those found here from the Jenny Packham fall 2011 line of gowns.

Vera Wang also has some gorgeous designs out for this fall, with lots of creams instead of the usual white. Check out the gorgeous pictures to get your idea and inspirations!

Flowers

Oranges, yellows, and other colors are always perfect for a fall wedding. But there are plenty of other things trending right now that can make your autumn wedding perfect, including more rustic touches of sunflowers mixed with other wildflowers that can even be found growing late into the summer into the fall months (see here) and roses are always perfect for a wedding, especially peach hued flowers for a fall wedding (see here).

Other touches

Some favorite autumn 2011 wedding touches include outdoor weddings - the weather in fall is usually crisp and clear enough to ensure your guests' comfort, and of course you've got that natural color outdoors that you can't find anywere else!

Rustic elements are big this fall, especially for an outdoor wedding or for outdoor wedding pictures - try incorporating old, rusted out cars (take a ride out into the country and you're sure to spy one of these), or something like a wagon (visit a farm or corn maze where they're sure to have a wagon for all those hay rides they host).

Your wedding this fall is going to be great! Be creative, make sure to take advantage of what this beautiful and unique season has to offer, and keep falling deeper in love!
