Planning that Flower Garden and Refuge

Michael Lee Joshua
We have been planning for the last three years to get a flower bed going in the area at the back of our town home. It had become a real mess because the neighbors decided to throw out a bunch of wildflower seeds. It was overgrown and not attractive at all.

The HOA was having some other work done, so we talked to the landscaper - a local guy from Prior Lake named Kyle Bruns, who has a website.

He brought in a skiploader and cleared the spot for us, brought in some dirt and mulch - then planted the flowers we bought at our local Home Depot.

Once we moved our nice wood swing into the cleared area and got the flowers planted - ahhh - what a nice place to relax. And my grandson just loves to sit with me out there while we read a book.

There are so few places that one can really relax, but sitting there is a welcome respite from the pressures of the everyday.

Plant some flowers, enjoy the birds and butterflies that join you there.
