We were supposed to have gone to see Mickey back in August. We were making plans and were just about set to go when our air conditioning went out in our house. Since we live in South Carolina and it was rather warm here at the time we decided we had to have the air fixed. That meant that $1300 later we had a nice cool house, but most of our Disney money had been spent. The kids were devastated. I suppose that is what I get for opening my mouth and telling them we were going in the first place. They however took it very well. I was impressed that there were no tears or whining from either child...they are four and six so I think that was pretty good! I wasn't sure when we'd get to go again, but for some reason I decided last minute that we needed a family vacation so we'd go to Disney over Spring Break.
I spent what felt like forever on the computer trying to decide where to stay. I refuse to pay $140 a night to stay at one of the value resorts no matter how convenient it may be. I'd find a hotel that looked pretty good then read the reviews and decide that one wasn't going to work. Finally I found a nice little resort that has condos which is perfect! It has a pool and a play area for the kids, it's two miles from Disney and you can walk to some other neat places close by. It also has a full kitchen so it's pretty much like being at home. The price couldn't be beat either. I was able to breathe a small sigh of relief once that was done.
So on to planning our Disney park days. What a nightmare! The one thing my daughter wants to do is eat with Cinderella. Everyone else wants to do that as well. People make reservations months in advance and if you aren't able to do that you might as well forget that option. When I realized that option was not going to work out I tried for another Cinderella dinner. Yep, you guessed it that one was booked as well. So here I am wondering what I'm going to do. My daughter has been wearing her Cinderella dress for days. She loves it and she keeps reminding me that I promised she'd get to eat with Cinderella. I hope she isn't too disappointed. Of course the one thing I can get into is in a park that we are planning on going to. They have a Princess meal at Epcot and I'm tempted to get the park hopper option just so we can do that, but I can't decide.
Today as I was browsing I came across something for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. I had never heard of this before, but it is something I know my daughter will just love. It is also in Cinderella's castle. I'm not sure if that is a good thing or not, but we'll see. I was very happy to have something planned for her, even if it just getting her hair, nails and make-up done. I hope she's as happy with it as I think she'll be.
As far as everything else goes I don't think I'm going to even worry about it. I figure we'll just get to Florida and figure it out as we go along. I can sit here and stress myself out over the next 21 days or I can not stress and let things happen as they happen. I am hoping that my kids are young enough that they'll be so excited over everything there is to see at Disney that they they'll have a great time no matter what!
