You could simply prepare your own main course and even suggest your guests bringing there own desserts,salads,side dishes and various appetizers. If you chose to have a DJ or live band this could be a costly option,but as music is a popular option you don't really need to go to the expense of this. A cheaper alternative would be to provide your own music by use of a CD player and a set of speakers,not as much fun a the live version but much cheaper all the same.
