Dickens in Historic Downtown Plano
November 30, 2007 (Friday)

To say that Plano welcomes the holiday season with a blast is an understatement. The annual Dickens event is highlighted with the Tree Lighting in Haggard Park at 7pm. People who witness the event are welcome to ride the DART and receive a coupon that can be used to redeem food from vendors and the children's area.

Plano Symphony Orchestra: Best of Home for the Holidays

One of Plano's own, this family concert tradition features combined voices of St. Andrew Chancel choir and the Plano Civic chorus with special guest soloists Blake Davidson (baritone) and Jeanine Thames (soprano). This event will also highlight some of the favorites from previous holiday concerts. St. Andrews Church will be glittering with beautiful shining lights as audience enjoy "Still Nacht," "The Christmas Story," "Brazilian Sleighbells," "Jingle Bells Forever," "O Holy Night," "Sleigh Ride," and a whole lot more.

35th Annual Plano's Children Christmas Parade

This is such a lovely event especially for those who have kids and those who like to be around kids. This year's theme is "The Music and Magic of Christmas". Parade begins at Plano Senior High School at the corner of Independence Pkwy and Park Blvd. and travels north on Independence to Spring Creek Parkway. Participants of this parade decorate their booth with great Christmas decorations that become even more beautiful at sundown.

'Neath the Wreath Holiday Gift Market
November 9 - November 11, 2007

Organized by the Junior League of Plano, this four-day event features over 100 merchants who offer a wide variety of high quality items for the delight and convenience of all types of shoppers. The venue is also beautifully decorated with Christmas lights and decors. This is definitely an eye-candy for shoppers who would like to hit two birds with one stone - sightseeing and shopping - all in the spirit of the holiday season. What's more is that proceeds for this event will go to programs of the Junior League of Plano (JLP) whose mission is to improve lives in Collin County.

Christmas Crafts Fair
November 17 - November 18, 2007

Noon to 5pm (Sunday)

This is one of Plano's special holiday events. There will be over 80 booths and a Hip for Gray section devoted to provide senior citizens with an opportunity to sell their crafts and artworks. The more 80 booths on this event will all be fully decorated and filled with great gift ideas for all shoppers.
