Associated Content currently has two main offices set up; one in Denver, Colorado and the other in New York City. Both locations could be great central meeting locations as content producers on the north and east coast could go to the New York locations while content producers in the south, Midwest and west could go to the Denver location for a get together.
Having an Associated Content lecture or forum would be a great way on creating more publicity for the website as the event could be covered by news stations, magazines and local newspapers as well as having articles written about the event from a first person perspective. As you know, Associated Content does not pay for advertising because it simply does not need to. AC pays content producers for referring the website to other friends and family members who then publish content of the website. As a result of the word of mouth spread and the 35,000 and counting members and users of Associated Content, AC does not have to pay for a major promotional cost. The concept is simply pure genius on the part of Associated Content CEO Luke Beatty.
The next question one might ask is what will happen at an AC live forum? The answer is: a lot. Every single person on Associated Content shares the common bonds of sharing their own writing with the rest of the American people and the desire to make money to pay for expenses. These two common bonds can unite people of all backgrounds and give content producers a chance to talk with other people, not to mention content managers about the article they have published, their ideas for upcoming articles, and current events in the news.
A small fee could be charged to the people who come to pay for refreshments, food and drinks. Or AC could pick up the tab and decide to let people come for free to get a larger audience at the event. In fact, to increase the audience in attendance at the event, AC could even reward the content producers who show up by giving out money in a CSO type fashion.
The CEO Luke Beatty and the rest of the AC founders could come to the event to introduce themselves to the thousands of content producers and give a small speech about how they came up with the designs and ideas of a user generated content website. Beatty could also talk about ideas and features in the future of the company. For example, one such topic might be how much the founders of AC plan on expanding? Such a live forum event could put a face to a name and see content managers live in person and thank them for being helpful or their ideas for the future. Such an event could only help AC by generating publicity and getting a more personal relationship between content producers and managers.
I think a live forum even would be great. What are your thoughts?
