Planters Cashews Review

We do not eat a lot of meat in my house, not because we are vegetarians but because we are cheap and we like to have quick and easy meals to meet or active lifestyle. I normally only purchase generic or store brand items these days with one exception. We always keep a can or two of Planters cashews halves and pieces in the pantry. In this review I will focus on Planters cashews and why this is one of the few items I purchase from a national brand without worrying about the price.

Planters cashew halves and pieces are in my opinion the best brand of cashews that are available in almost all stores from gas stations to major chain grocery stores and discount stores alike. The Planters company has been in the business of nuts for over 103 years. The methods that Planters uses for preparing and selecting the finest nuts is tried and true. You can rest assured when you buy any Planters nut product from small pouches to large jars and cans of nuts you are getting only the best no matter what variety of nuts you are buying.

I like that Planters cashew halves and pieces are a good source of protein, iron, phosphorus, magnesium, zinc, copper an manganese, and that they are cholesterol free and low in sugar. These nuts are not fat free and they do contain a high amount of sodium per serving, but they are definitely healthier than eating potato chips when craving a crunchy and salty snack.

I have tried generic brands of cashews only to find I am only getting the tiniest pieces of cashews and been disappointed. Cashews are not a cheap nut, and when you are shelling out your cash you should at least get halves of the nut and not just tiny chunks and cashew dust in my opinion. I would recommend the Planters brand of cashew halves and pieces to anyone who enjoys a snack of nuts and is looking for a healthier salty and crunchy snack option than potato chips and similar items. I am a bargain shopper, but I never regret spending the extra money on a fantastic product like Planters brand cashew halves and pieces. Planters brand of nuts are easy to find, just look for Mr. Peanut on the label and know you are getting a high quality product that will leave you satisfied.
