Nuts are a good source of protein and make a healthy snack for all age groups. But how does Planters NUT-rition South Beach Diet Recommended Mix measure up? Is it worth buying?
Price and Availability
I paid $2.32 for a 248g (8.75 oz) box of Planters NUT-rition South Beach Diet Recommended Mix, which consisted of seven individually wrapped bags of nuts, from my local commissary's markdown section. That works out to around $0.33 per serving, which is a good deal as far as I am concerned.
Product Description
Each 35g bag contains a mixture of cashews, almonds and macadamia nuts. I was pleased to see such an assortment of nuts in each pack. If you are not keen on peanuts, you may want to give this product a try. However, this product is manufactured on equipment that also processes peanuts, and could also contain peanut oil, so if you are allergic to peanuts, it is important to keep this in mind before trying this product.

Taste Test
I was impressed with Planters NUT-rition South Beach Diet Recommended Mix. Not only was this product well priced, but it was also low in sodium, saturated fat and high in several vitamins and minerals. The nuts tasted fresh, crunchy and delicious. I also liked how each serving came in its own individual serving size bag, which can help curb overindulgence. I would therefore recommend this product.
