If you want a fun and easy craft project for Easter, you must try making some Easter bunnies using plastic Easter eggs. This is a fun craft for kids of all ages, including adults. It's a very inexpensive craft too. All you need are some plastic Easter eggs and simple craft supplies.

To get an idea of what your Easter egg bunny can look like, click here to see an image. Of course, you are allowed and encouraged to make any kind of bunny you want. And don't feel like you have to match the color of the ears and feet to the color of the egg. You can use white for all the ears and feet if you like. The bunnies will still come out super cute!

You will need one plastic egg for each bunny. You will also need two wiggle eyes, two white or pink pom poms (cotton balls will work fine and can now be found in pink, blue or yellow), a black pom pom, a pipe cleaner or chenille stick in the color of your choice, a small piece of white craft foam or construction paper, and craft foam for the ears and feet in the color of your choice.

Glue the two pink pom poms to the front of the egg using a hot glue gun or tacky glue. Then tuck a piece of white craft foam or construction paper under the pom poms to form the front teeth. Glue a black pom pom for the nose. Cut some pieces of pipe cleaner and stick them in the pom pom to make whiskers. Secure the whiskers with glue. Cut ears and a foot base and glue those on. Use the image as a guide for the shape of the pieces and for placement.

If you want to create bendable ears, you can glue a wire bread tie or other wire like a pipe cleaner to the back of each ear. Then you can bend the ears forward and they will stay in place.

These plastic egg bunnies can be used as decoration, or you can use them to hold Easter treats. All you have to do is open the egg from the back. It will fold over and the face of the bunny (the pom poms that you glued on) will hold the egg together. It's almost like opening a little box. For treats, think of little items that will fit into the egg, like candy, money, jewelry, stickers, tattoos, or whatever you can find.
