Play the Best Golden Age Animated Flash Arcade Games Online

Six Classics I Predict to Watch Out for in Newer Versions

The Goldenn Era of gaming began in the early eighties. As a child of the eighties I understand the nostalgia for video games. Below are six games i think are worth talking about, multiply this by the amount of remakes and you have a wonderful abundance of historical game playing action.

Punch Out (1984-2009) Wii Arcade action game

Boxing game with ability to have two player boxing. Dodge and counter moves, punch motion and dodge and duck. Excellent punch up game. The original was the ultimate Arcade game. Well worth the 20p (1982) credit.

The 2009 version is far more superior in flash arcade gameplay however unlike the original game play from the Golden era of video games the original with its big red button used for knockout punches is like comparing video game pinball to an actual pinball machine. During the golden era in the 80's of video games in arcades this one stayed in use till the end of the heyday of going out, playing games, meeting friends and exchanging high scores. Quite an easy game to finish with many levels and a choice between the matrix Tron style mans colour. Red or green.

Gi Joe Special Mission Game (2009) Hasbro animated flash game

Choose a side: G.I. Joe or Cobra. Suitable for all ages. Between each level there is an animated cartoon. First level is a memory puzzle. The second level you run through the level shoot jump and race to the check point. Good game check it out here:

Space Ace (1983) Atari video arcade game

By far the best animated flash game of all time 'Space Ace'. Again suitable for all ages. You cannot yet play this game online for free. You can download it as an App onto Apple's I-Phone and here you can watch the game through in the original cartoon format over on Myspace:

Popeye the Sailor Man (1982) NES

Similar to crazy Kong in the games layout. You move around the screen and a catch the hearts and notes Olive drops from the top of the screen. Watch out for Biffo though because if he catches you your dead meat. Other obstacles include the water down below, fall in and you drown. Catch all the fallen things, hearts, notes letters to complete the level. Classic game if only for the jingles. With the catchy jingles Popeye the sailor man, who lives in a caravan, he's strong to the finish cause he eats his spinach.

On the Run (1985) Sega

Is only available online for people with Windows computers. You can watch the game video over on Outrun Online Arcade.

However another good flash racing game is Snail Need for Speed. Race down the track avoid the obstacles jump to get the boosts and power up to hit top speeds. This snail really can move. Play this game on any computer by following the link:
