VideotopiaTM, an international touring arcade video games exhibit, will be featured at Strong National Museum of Play® in Rochester, NY. The exhibit, which opened on May 30, runs until November 1, 2009 and features over 100 new and restored arcade video games.

VideotopiaTM - What Is It?

Parents and kids have the opportunity to engage in hands-on play together with classics arcade games such as Pac-Man, Space Invaders, Tetris and Donkey Kong at VideotopiaTM. It is an interactive exhibit which allows children and adults to learn about the science, art and history of video games as they play.

VideotopiaTM - How Much Does It Cost?

Every visitor of Rochester's Strong National Museum of Play® receives four tokens for free play in VideotopiaTM. Additional tokens may be purchased inside the exhibit at the cheap price of twenty-five cents each. Visitors may also earn additional tokens at Power-Up stations by correctly answering questions pertaining to the historical facts presented in the exhibit. Video arcade game lovers (adults only) have the option of purchasing a special $20 Gamer Admission Pass which allows free general admission to the musuem during the five months the VideotopiaTM exhibit is at the musuem.

    This sounds like a very fun place for us adults whose video-playing skills haven't evolved along with the video game industry. My kids and grandkids would like it for the "hoot" factor--just like they can't believe we used to only have black-and-white T.V.
