Player also gathers coins on his way. A hundred coins can be exchanged with a new life. This is a bonus life. You can become super Mario and fiery Mario if you gather enough flowers and mushrooms. If an enemy gets hold of you, the game ends.

There are four stages in each level. In the last stage, you got to fight with a dragon that spits fire. There are also some hidden stages and items. After the release of first version, four new versions of the game have come. One of them is named Mario Forever.

You can move the hero with the help of keyboard. As in most Super Mario games, you will have the opportunity to move forward, backward, to go down and up, shoot and jump. In order to get rid of your enemies, you need to jump on them from the top or to shoot them with the balls. In the carts representing question-mark you will be able to beat out the coins, mushrooms or flowers gathering which you will get additional scores and abilities.
