‘Playboy Club’ Canceled After Three Episodes

Will 'Pan Am' Follow Suit or Will it Make It?

It is no surprise "Playboy Club" has been cancelled after just three episodes. While trying to watch the first episode of the show, I found the plot as boring and as long as some of the political speeches given by any politician.

Basically, boy meets girl, boy wants girl to quit job, and girl gets hit on and kills man for putting the moves on her. That all happened within the first thirty minutes of the first episode.

Rather than spilling the whole theme of the show in thirty minutes, the writers and producers could have went with a half hour weekly show. They could have introduced the characters with a slight telling of how they would interact with each other before killing off one of the characters in the first episode.

The first half hour of the first episode was like watching 10 trailers for any movie coming out. By the time you have watched those, you know what the movie is about and would it really be worth watching after that? Sometimes yes and other times no. That is how the first episode killed the show instantly much like the mob boss or what ever he was who hit on the new girl at the "Playboy Club."

I wouldn't be surprised if "Pan Am" is as short lived as this show. After watching the first few minutes of the show, I thought great another show like "The Playboy Club."
