Playboy Model Paula Sladewski Text Messages Said Boyfriend was "Trying to Kill" Her, Alleges Ex
Ex-Boyfriend of Paula Sladewski Turns Over Fearful Text Messages to North Miami Police
According to the Miami Herald, Paula Sladewski's still burning body was found in a North Miami dumpster Sunday evening. Burned beyond recognition, authorities used dental records to identify the body. A positive identification was made on Tuesday.
But just hours after the body was found, Kevin Klym filed a missing person report. He told Miami Police he hadn't seen Paula Sladewski since early Sunday morning and was worried about her. He said they had gotten into a loud argument about leaving -- he insisted she was "too drunk" to stay -- at a popular Miami nighclub, the Club Space, and he had been thrown out. When she did not join him after a few minutes, Klym caught a cab back to their Miami Beach Hotel.
Later that morning, when his girlfriend of nearly two years did not return to their room, he grew worried. According to his lawyer, he even passed out hastily made flyers during his search. After several hours, he then went to the authorities and filed the missing person report.
David Coleman told Fox News that he last heard from Paula Sladewski early New Year's Day. He said that the text message sent after midnight (New Year's Eve) left no reason for alarm.
However, a text message sent on December 27 had been cause for concern. North Miami Police now have the text messages, according to Coleman.
Kevin Klym has been named a person of interest, but no charges have been filed against anyone in the case.
David Coleman dated Paula Sladewski in the late 1990s. He claims that the two have remained good friends since they broke up. It was Patsy Watkins, Paula Sladewski's mother, who called to tell him that they had identified the her daughter's body.
Paula Sladewski's text messages to Coleman might prove important if a case can be brought against the former Playboy model's boyfriend. It would show a continuing pattern of a young woman -- Sladewski was 26 -- in fear of her life. Coupled with the various incidents of domestic violence Sladewski and Klym were involved in (the last being an incident where Klym was arrested after breaking the model's nose), they also help show that Kevin Klym has a violent nature. In a murder trial, it is evidence such as the text messages that lend credence to a prosecutor's claims.
And even though Kevin Klym seems to be cooperative (his attorney maintains he has not only met with North Miami Police four separate times but has even volunteered to take a polygraph test), his cooperation does not absolve him from suspicion of murder. And as the circumstantial evidence accumulates without conclusive linkage to another person of interest or suspect, Kevin Klym becomes even more the central focus of the investigation. And circumstantial evidence can build a case that sends one to prison, something last seen in the high-profile case of Scott Peterson.

Post a CommentI find it odd that Mr Coleman chooses to cast a negative image on Kevin Klym. here are the facts behind Mr Coleman.....
Sex Offender who served prison time for statutory rape on Ms. Sladewski back in the 90's...(who is currently looting her and Klyms belongings back in California).
This is a tragic case but the sensationalism that Mr. Klym murdered this young lady is absurd. The secondary offense being committed is by us the public, allowing this man to be shoehorned into stereotypical love story gone wrong. I say this with the knowledge and privilege of having known and love them both. Rest in Peace Paula.

Why would he hand out flyers? Only someone who knew she was really missing as opposed to have stayed over with someone else would do that...
I would think this would lend strength to the boyfriend as a "person of suspicion" or however it is termed.
