Preparation: Mark one of the jokers as the "Big" joker and it will be the highest ranking card.

Card Rankings and Ability: The cards are ranked 2 through Ace, Joker then Big Joker.

1. Deuce allows player to draw 2 cards from their battle deck.

2. One eyed Jack of Hearts and Spades can steal one card from one player's hand.

3. The Jack of Clubs and Diamonds can spy on one player's hand.

4. The Queen of Hearts, Diamonds and Clubs played in battle with a same suited 2 through 10 increases card to a King, Jack/King to Ace, and Ace to Little Joker.

5. Sorceress Queen of Spades played in battle with any 2 through 10 increases card to a King, Jack through King to Ace, Ace to Little Jokers and the Little Joker to a Big Joker.

6. Suicide King of Hearts played in battle requires other players to throw two cards from their hand into the battle.

7. Summoning King of Diamonds played in battle allows player to draw 5 additional cards.

Game Play:

1. Shuffle all cards and deal entire deck evenly to each player placing them into a single stack called battle decks. If the cards do not evenly deal out place extra cards into the center face down with the winner of the first battle taking them. We recommend adding a second deck if there is more then three players.

2. Each player draws 5 cards from their battle decks into their hand. Each player draws 5 fresh cards from their battle deck when they play all cards in their hand.

3. The first battle is played blind with each player placing their first card face down with the high card winning the battle then leading the next battle with winners leading the remainder of the game.

4. After the first battle is played each player will have two turns each battle.

5. If you are going to play a special card declare it as you play it.

6. When you have won a battle sweep the cards into a pile face up called your sweep deck and leave it until your entire battle deck is played out. Once your battle deck is played out shuffle your sweep deck, place it face down and draw five fresh cards into your hand.

7. When a player plays a card of the same rank as another played card they are declaring war. Other players can join the war if they have a same ranked card to play. War is played by taking two cards and placing them face down then flipping up a third card with the highest ranked card winning all cards played. Any player who played a card higher then the warring players' cards can withdraw their card. When there is a tie the tied players will repeat their war once then play a single card until one player wins.

8. When there are only two players left those two players count their cards (Face cards are worth 2 points) with the one with the most points winning.

If you want to add some fun to the game add candy to the mix. Each time a player draws 5 cards that player adds a piece of candy to the pot. Each time players engage in War they add two pieces of candy to the pot. Win a Battle draw 1 from the pot, win a War draw 3, win a Game and take the pot.
